The Mini Angle Beam (Mini Angle Beam or Rompas) is a substitute for the DSC Block. It is used to calibrate distance, beam index, refracted angle and sensitivity. Manufactured to ASTM E164 and U.S. Bureau of Public Roads, Type B specifications, the block includes a 2″/50mm radius, a 1″/25mm opposing radius and a flat bottom hole 1.0780″/2mm in diameter and 0.75″/18.75mm deep.

Surface ground to a 16 Ra finish and manufactured in accordance with MIL-STD-271G Figure 9 and NAVSHIPS Specification 0900-006-3010/Section 6, the block includes 6 3/64″ diameter through holes at scan surface distances of 0.25″, 0.50″, 0.75″, 1.00″, 1.25″ and 1.50″.
