DSC UT CALIBRATION BLOCK (IMPERIAL)
The DSC block is used to calibrate the sensitivity and distance of the shear wave on ultrasonic equipment. With a 1.0″ radius and a 3.0″ radius on opposite faces, the block has a slot spaced .484″ from the flat surface, with a 3.0″ radius machined .375″ deep. The block includes a 0° reference pattern to check the exit point on the wedge, a 1/8″ diameter through hole spaced ¾” from the flat surface, and 45°, 60° and 70° marks to measure the actual refraction angle.
